    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it has taught me how to write good informative essays.

    Course highlights:

My favorite highlight of this course was writing my satire, I did not even know what a satire was before this class and I do not like to write essays but I had fun writing my satire essay.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Time management is key, do not wait to do the class work the night before or the morning of!!!! Big mistake!

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course involves utilizing your writing skills to construct 4 essays that deal with a multitude of subjects. This class is no walk in the park and I would not highly recommend to anyone who is strictly math and science-oriented. Other than that, the course is extremely interesting and does help improve your writing skills.

    Course highlights:

This course required these four essays: a narrative, a satire, a literary analysis, and a rhetorical analysis of a derogatory term. Each of these essays involved different tactics and a lot of research. This course aided me in strengthening my thesis statements and guided me towards more reliable resources for research.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention to the presentations and discussions during class. This will help better your writing skills and earn you a better grade. Also, use time management as you need to complete many essays in a condensed amount of time. Research is important and make sure to use reliable resources. The class can be tough but following this advice will prepare you for earning a decent grade.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend taking this course with Mrs. Michael because she tends to assign homework in her head and then expects you to have it finished, even if she didn't hand out the worksheet.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were when the students were able to choose their own topics. I learned that sometimes the teacher is not always correct.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you want to succeed in this course, you must write exactly how she wants you to write. You cannot use your own style of writing.
