    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I am taking AP Chemistry my senior year of high school, and I find it challenging, yet interesting. I plan on following a pre-medicine track throughout college. Knowing that heavy duty science classes are required, I wanted to lighten the course load with AP Chemistry. I feel this class will help me tremendously in college with General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry.

    Course highlights:

The hilights of the course involved the labs, with which I was able to interact with my classmates who have now become some of my closest friends in high school. We work together to solve problems and make the most efficient decisions. One of my favorite labs was the "Designing a Hand Warmer Lab," in which we had to determine what substance is most effective in producing real hand warmers. This was interesting because we had the chance to connect our knowledge with a real life experience. From taking this class I have learned an abundance of information on chemistry from stoichiometry to thermochemistry. Additionally, I learned about time management, ethical and appropriate lab techniques, and working with others to solve problems. All of these aspects of AP Chemistry are essential college level skills that will be immensely impactful throughout my career.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say to manage your time in the best way possible. I know it can be difficult at times to get everything done without procrastinating from all of the extracurricular activities and other challenging classes you're taking, but it is the only way to be a success in the class. You must put the time and effort into all of your work, no matter what. If you're taking this class as a senior, don't let it control you're life, but also don't leave it in the back of your mind. It's crucial to keep a balance between your school work, social life, and other activities.

    Course Overview:

Forensics is a course that is so fascinating and i would recommend it to anyone.

    Course highlights:

I learned all the steps of processing a crime scene and how to take care of important evidence.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The only tip i have is to take a lot of notes even if you think you'll remember everything.
