    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course because it is more than just another English course. AP Literature exposes students to a higher caliber of thought and promotes analytical and deeper thinking. The material learned in this class can be easily applied to other aspects of daily life, and allows students to understand the world in which we live.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course are many, but overall, the freedom and independence of this course are what sets it apart from the rest. Upon given assigned material, students are expected to discover and interpret the text individually, and subsequently participate in thoughtful discussions. The material taught by the teacher is minimal, as the bulk of class time is spent on students exploring the subject, driving the discussion and explaining their reasoning to others in a free-flowing environment.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to students considering this course would be not to get intimidated by the lack of structure and instruction from the teacher. Be open to exploring new ways of learning, thinking, and debating a particular subject.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class with Mrs. Sarich because she makes us write essays nearly everyday and it helps me get familiar with different styles and hear what my peers have to say or what they wrote. My vocabulary and essays have gotten better since the start. She is fair with grading as long as you are kind to her.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were when we do socratic circle and everyone argues over interpretations and everyone tries to talk over others. It makes us realize that we can all have good conversations and learn what others have to say. I have learned to see what others see deeper into a text. I have realized all of the new ways to read a text.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The way that I succeed in the class was by taking notes during discussions so I get familiar with terms and other perspectives. It helps me write my essays. The tip I have for essays is have at least two quotes and write the essay like story with explaining how everything formed the ending of the text.
