    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you're interested in entering the field of science whether it's medicines or engineering, it's imperative that you make room to learn more about the reactions that take place in life.

    Course highlights:

In terms of time management I learned how to spread out my study time more efficiently. I saw how important it was to spend at least an hour a day practicing questions and rereading my chemistry notes. Some of the highlights was discussing the purpose of each chemical element and their properties.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to work your heart and mind into this course. It's not meant to scare you off but at the same time it's not meant to be an easy A+. You will be thankful in the end that you sacrificed that time and effort.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

AP Chemistry is a hard subject to take I'll admit, but Mrs. Newman is one of the BEST teachers in JMHS. She is always willing to stay and help you before or after school to help make sure you understand the material. She's very dedicated and makes the class worth taking.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course honestly was Mrs. Newman and her bubbly personality. Also, though the material was difficult, she always had an effective way to teach it, whether it be with a sketch or a funny story she had. She always had a way to make the class bearable.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

You have to be committed to studying. This subject isn't one where you can just breeze over your notes. It takes time and serious focus and dedication.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the teacher really knows the information and her goal is not only to cover the curriculum, but make sure we really understand it. She gives plenty of opportunities to come in for extra help and truly cares about her students

    Course highlights:

I learned that I really like a chemistry after taking this class. The labs taught me the importance of taking your time and being meticulous about your measurements. The better you are at performing the experiments the better your results.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the assignments all along. Don't wait till the last minute. Take advantage of the test corrections. They help you to learn where you went wrong
