Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class unlocked my passion for the cognitive sciences. Ms. Hynes' teachings were engaging and awesome. I would walk out of every class feeling like I had learned something novel and interesting. Not only was her class interesting, but many units, such as the memory unit, enhanced my study techniques, which boosted my grades and overall understanding of all my other classes.

    Course highlights:

I was very intrigued by the Abnormal Psychology unit, in which we delved deeply into the potential causes and stressors for psychological and personality disorders, as well as the treatment options, of which there are many. This unit also sparked my interest into forensic psychology and criminal psychology.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you want to do more than just succeed in this course, if you truly want to comprehend the material of this course, you have to really make an effort to understand what you're studying. I took notes in class, watched Hank Green's crash course videos, and spoke with my teacher for a few minutes after class every now and then. I don't think you will have a difficult time with this course, however, if you honestly are interested in the material.
