    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

AP English is a challenging course that allows you to speak out your opinions on classic American literature and teaches you how to write an essay with ease. I usually found it difficult to write essays but this course fleshes out the process quite well.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were reading classic American literature such as The Great Gatsby. Analyzing the book and its symbolism opened my mind to new ideas and to explore the meaning behind those ideas.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Carefully read your drafts and be innovative when improving them. Grammar is important but they also want to read how well you've interpreted a book or express your opinion.
