    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Chemistry is a good class, but it is definitely challenging at times, especially second semester. I would say if you plan to do anything medical, in your future you should definitely take this class. I say that, because most of the things you learn in Chem. 101, they teach you at the college level. And typically if you go into medicine of any kind you have to take chemistry. Believe me I had to help my brother with college chemistry a few times last year, and it was basically the same stuff. If you take it in high school, it will be like a crash course before college! (totally worth it in my opinion.) Although the class is hard, I learned a lot of neat tricks and things I never would have known about science, if I wouldn't have taken chemistry. Other than chemistry being academically challenging, I really enjoyed the class because I had an awesome teacher. He made things fun, and interesting, not to mention the really cool labs we got to do! If you are debating whether or not you should take chemistry, think about if will you need it in the future, if you good at math, and if you up for a challenge. If so, I think the class would be a great fit for you!

    Course highlights:

I would say the highlight of taking chemistry for me, was all the labs we did. Chemistry is basically another math class, which wasn't so fun, but we did a lot of activities and experiments which made up for it. I learned that you can take certain materials, place them under a bunsen burner, and they will light up into different colored flames! It was so cool... I 10/10 recommend taking chemistry for the labs!

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

To be successful in chemistry, you have to be able to do math. I hate to tell you but there is no way around it. Like I mentioned earlier, chemistry is a second math class so be prepared to see the numbers! The good news is, it is stuff you should have learned in previous math classes, maybe just ratcheted up a notch. The second thing I will tell you is, pay attention during class, especially during notes! I made that mistake last year and boy when it came test time I was not prepared. Mr. Triplett will tell you himself, there is no way to study for the test, you have to be listening, and paying attention. You do that, and you will make it through the class with no problems!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Chemistry was a challenging class that inspired me to learn more about our world. It was eye opening and useful for everyone!

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course included conducting experiments in the lab and being given the freedom to do so by ourselves. Some of my favorite experiments involved using gas to create a brief explosion and making a solution that repeatedly changes color.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Work hard. If you do not understand something initially, reach out to the teacher. The material builds on itself. This means that if you understand one chapter, you will be ready to learn about the next. If you do not, get help right away. Most importantly, do not be discouraged! It is meant to be challenging. Have fun along the way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a fun class that you get to work with bending glass in a certain lab.

    Course highlights:

I learned that I'm ready to learn more and delve deeper into chemistry for bio-chem. in college.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Akways be prepared because you never know what will make it hard.
