Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a really interesting class, and definitely more challenging than the regular English program.

    Course highlights:

In AP English, we have more in-depth discussions about the books we read, and are expected to share our opinions.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to keep up on the reading--there is a lot of it, but you get more out of the class when you can actively participate in the discussions!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

She's an excellent teacher, and honestly the only English class I've actually learned something in.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the APMC's, and the essays, as they truly were preparation for the AP test and helped me be successful.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I suggest giving a lot of effort to the course, and if you're unsuccessful in your writing don't be afraid to ask her what you did wrong.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Griffin really prepares us for college with the work load, out of class reading, and seminar style learning.

    Course highlights:

We learned the proper ways to write, manage time, and study for AP tests.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to work hard (especially first semester) but know that everything she's giving the class is benefitting you tremendously. Know that she will make you a better student and a better learner.
