    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I rated this course as "would recommend," but I must clarify: I recommend this course for students who are seriously interested in chemistry and ready to commit a significant amount of time to it. I definitely wish I had dedicated more time to studying this material. As long as you prepare adequately, this course can lead you to success on the AP test.

    Course highlights:

This course was taught more like a college class, where homework was never required and tests were heavily weighted. A lot of material was covered, and we had occasional lab sessions to reinforce ideas.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Get organized from the very beginning! Don't wait until you start studying for a test to create flash cards; make them when you learn the material, and study throughout the unit. Complete as much of the recommended homework as you can, but also remember to study smart. If you know you've already mastered a topic, don't stress yourself out over reviewing it any more.
