Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking this class because Ronald Patten is the best math teacher I have ever had. He has a way of making the material in the class fun and interesting but still making sure we all understand the content. He had no problem sitting down and working with students one on one.

    Course highlights:

During Discrete Mathematics we learned about reverse polish notation, Hamiltonian Circuits and Paths, the 4 color theorem, fractals, probability and Estate Division.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice would be don't go into this class thinking its gonna be a walk in the park math class, it definitely has its easy areas but it also has its difficult ones.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this class because the things you learn are beneficial and exciting. I have learned in this class that math is used in your everyday life and you don't realize it.

    Course highlights:

My biggest highlight was when my teacher was teaching us about fractals. He told us how fractals were used in movies. He had explained to us that the shape of fractals extend the range of anything. One of his stories was how he didn't have cable but he had an antenna. His theory was to put his antenna into the shape of a fractal. When he completed this experiment he gained over twenty extra channels. I personally thought this was the coolest part of the class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to anyone taking this course would be to listen and observe. If you do this you will start to notice how math is included in everyday use.
