    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

THIS IS A GREAT COURSE! Mr. Sandford is such a helpful teacher and he really helps you prepare for the AP exam! It may be a very hard class and the workload is a beast, but Mr. Sandford makes the class exciting and fun that I began to look forward to class everyday! It also helped to prepare me for any other AP courses I took junior year and now my senior year by getting this opportunity sophomore year.

    Course highlights:

This class really helped to expand my critical thinking skills for history, and even literature. He holds a great amount of discussion on primary source documents and he also helps to prepare for all the information you need to know by playing trivia games, such as Jeopardy and Kahoot! He also helps to keep everyone's grade high by allowing test corrections, which anyone can help make up the missing points they lost no matter their grade. He covers all material in world history (we even studied 9/11, which happened when I was alive), and the pace is very fast! It was surprising we had over a month to review for the AP exam because we finished all material. He really helps to prepare! I felt confident in the exam and all thw hard work helped because I got a 5!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It is one of the greatest courses I have taken in high school. He really changed my perspective on learning and history and helped me to enjoy it. He also really changed me as a student. I was a little more lazy, but still dedicated. In his class, nothing can slide, therefore, it is important to do all the work and reading. You learn more if you participate in class and it helps if you study many nights in advance for his tests. I was very dedicated in his class and my work ethic changed because of him. I now put a great amount of effort into every assignment no matter the class. He really helps prepare you for the last two years of high school, which are really hard. I loved the class so much I am now taking the AP Modern European History class he teaches!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

In taking this class, a student will learn helpful tips that extend beyond high school. This includes note taking styles and learning the environment of a college class.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course include learning how to play cricket as well as after school movies in replacement of an essay. In addition to these, a student will also learn how to properly write a well developed essay and DBQ.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell students to try this course, but go into this class prepared with the summer work completed and understand that this course will be challenging.
