    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this class because it has been helpful in my understanding of Calculus. Calculus, as most already know, is a hard class. Even students who take advanced classes struggle with it and for good reason. Calculus is a class based on concepts that take more than a quick formula to solve. I'm normally a good math student, having completed Algebra 2 my freshmen year, but this class was definitely one of my most difficult. However, despite this fact, my teacher and peers are what helped guide me through this course. Without help from them, I'm sure I would've fallen way behind in this class.

    Course highlights:

Perhaps my most important highlight was working together with my peers. Normally, I am an independent working student who relies on herself and her computer to help her through. However, Calculus is not the type of class you can sit back, watch Youtube help guides and expect to glide through. I had to get help from others and I think working together with my fellow students is what really led me to look forward to my day in Calculus. I wouldn't be alone in my struggles and we could all help each other on problems we didn't understand if the teacher was unavailable.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Ask for help if you need it. Even if you normally are able to do fine on your own, if you struggle it never hurts to ask for assistance on problems you don't understand. Also, Youtube is an infallible resource and one that I used quite frequently on chapters I wasn't able to understand through lectures alone.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it teaches you how to do mental math and study. It is an extremely challenging course, a very good college prepatory class. Overall a good class.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to prioritize what I need to study more of and what I have down pat. I learned how to do both complex and simople math problems in my head and not have to rely on the calculator as much.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If you want to take this course then you should be prepared to study and do every homework problem that is assigned to you. Learn to not use your calcualtor so much and get used to working in groups on projects.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it made me work hard and it makes you think outside the box. You have to practice a lot if you want to be good at it.

    Course highlights:

I learned many symbols that at first didn't represent anything to me. I also learned how to really use a scientific calculator because you needed it for this course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

An advice that I would give to students considering taking this course would be that work really hard. It may seen difficult at first but if you practice you are going to do fine. I got an A because I practice almost every morning before school.
