Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher is very good, and helps students who when they need help. His way of teaching is not conventional, he doesn't follow the book word by word, and I like when teacher know the material very well as he does.

    Course highlights:

You learn how to do bookkeeping and accounting in general, nothing too specific

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your best and they will be fine. The class is not difficult as long as you study.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend anyone that is a business major to take financial accounting. Whether your an accounting major or not, knowledge of accounting is essential for any business organization. Not only will you learn accounting, but you will also learn how managers make decisions based what is stated on the "four" financial statements. Also if you want to purchase a piece of stock of a company, knowing how to analyze the financial statements is a key whether to invest or not.

    Course highlights:

I learn about the rules of debits and credits. I also learned how to analyze transactions and record those transactions into journals, ledgers and putting the balances into an unadjusted trial balance before putting all the information into financial statements. I leaned on how financial statements are prepared for a service and merchandise business since it covers on these two kinds of businesses.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Number one, have your textbook. You cannot succeed in any accounting course without your textbook. Number two, read the chapters ahead of time and ask questions if you don't understand a concept. Know the accounting equation which is very easy to remember. Number four know the rules for debits and credits for any given transaction. Number five read about FIFO and LIFO very important concepts that deal with inventory. Number six know the straight line method calculations. Number seven do the assigned homework given to you and do not leave it for the last minute. Number eight go to tutoring if you get stuck along the way. Number nine relax and do take this class in a full semester if you are taking more than one class. And finally number 10 have a wonderful semester and good luck in this course.
