Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I would recommend this course/professor because he is very thoughtful and willing to help. Other professors may go to fast in the material, but, if you need him to help you out, he will. Also, he records his lessons so you can access the full lecture (quite long) once he sets up his website.
I learned all the basics of c++ programming. Variables, data types, if statements, loops, and much more. Although, the class is very easy at first (lots of common sense and a bit of math for calculating the sum or something) it does get harder at the end. But, it wasn't impossible! Remember to ask for help!

Advice for students:
First, I would recommend to buy the book, he has his own book that you can buy at the bookstore. I like to see other examples of code so that I can see the general "layout" of a correct program. Also, I recommend to never miss class, even though he does post the recording of his lecture with the display of the computer screen so that you can see the code, its good to see it and also write and compile along with him. Lastly, I recommend that you give yourself time to learn programming, it may or may not come easy to you, but give it your best.
