    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is the foundation and nutshell of chemistry. I highly recommend before taking CHM1045.

    Course highlights:

This course is introductory therefore definitely doable. However, don't underestimate it will teach you conversions, element and compound names and geometry of the compounds.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study every week, don't cram the entire test for the night before. It is a lot of concepts, details and exceptions to learn.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Lee really explains ways to find a new solution and is always very concerned about how well you understand the material.

    Course highlights:

This is an intro class so you will learn things you didn't know and go over things you may have heard before. For me this course really helped me with covalent and ionic bonds.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Try your hardest to stay on top of coursework and try to really learn especially if you are continuing in the chemistry or another science track many things come up in the later classes.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you know already a bit of chemistry or need to take the course I would recommend another professor, he knows he's stuff but the way he explained things was as if we already knew everything and would cut the class short. Over all if you just study and practice the problems in the book you'll be just fine and pass the class like a cutting a piece of cake. Also if you are like me and horrible at remembering names and formulas it's ok, I just kept practing every day and I got! This professor gives out extra credit but only for the mid-term and final, which is pretty easy because he gives you something to write about and requires it to have 750-800 words. It's pretty simple and easy.

    Course highlights:

The highlights for me was getting to memorize the periodic table, reading how Lavoisier had his wife at his side helping him with his dicovory on the law of conservation of mass, and learning different ways chemistry uses math. I learned how to define where metals, non metals, and nobles gases are located on the periodic table. I learned how matter is all around us and the difference between pure substance and mixtures.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, don't just pass time. Organize your time in the day and get at least 1-2 hours in on studying the material. It sounds more difficult then it actually is but if you do this you won't have an excuse as to why you would fail this class.
