Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course structures you on how to write and how to criticize yourself and others. These are tips you will be using in every other class, whether it is to write a lab report or a research paper.

    Course highlights:

This course helped me accept criticism without taking it as an insult or a demeaning gesture. Instead of simply saying my writing was "bad" and to redo it, my professor guided me on how and what to improve on with my writing. It gave me more confidence as a writer and as time passed I generally saw an increase in improvement with my writing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate! Keep up with the readings for this course because they can add up if you ignore it until the day before you have to write a paper. Instead of reading like it it a chore, have fun with it. It's not textbook boring. Some of these novels are classic, and if you go in with negative mind of just "getting it over with" you'll never enjoy what this class has to offer. And don't be afraid to ask for help from your professor. Email or meet with them in person, they enjoy having students who put effort into their work.
