    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

AP US History, taught by Ms. Durso was an exemplary teacher. She spoke extensively on historical analysis that made me not only better understand the founding principles America still stands for today, but it made me fall in love with history and the politics behind it.

    Course highlights:

In this class, students were not treated based on favoritism, students were able to freely and diplomatically talk about historical issues and current politics. AP US History fosters the development for intellectual discussion and to tangibly synthesize historical events from the late 1700s and relate it to 21st century society. Not only do you have a better understanding of the country, but as a past student I am now able notice the patterns our country still falls under and how extremely similar it was to our mistakes at the turn of the the 1800s.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed you must understand. AP History is not about memorizing, it is about deciphering historical evidence and relating it to past or future events.
