    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was difficult but incredibly valuable- the principles of writing and persuasion I learned have been an immense help to me in the college admissions process.

    Course highlights:

With a focus on rhetorical techniques and critical reading, this course teaches you how to dissect and analyse difficult texts. Beyond this, it focuses on helping the student develop the skills to express their own perspective on complex issues.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

From the beginning, put your best effort forth on timed writings and multiple choice tests. remember that you will be glad for the intensity when you've got that college credit!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to anyone who is a skilled writer looking to advance their writing ability. A student must enjoy not only writing but reading as well they must be able to read at a fast pace and understand what is not explicitly written on the page but what is implied.

    Course highlights:

I learned how important vocabulary is in every day situations, how to use words to my advantage and I learned this from some of the greatest pieces of writing. I took many new skills away from this class that changed my idea of English.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep an open mind and always read the things you're supposed to. Never fall behind or procrastinate. Always study for vocab and skills quizzes especially when reading "The Things They Carried" and "The Great Gatsby"
