Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course. I took it for honors and I was very engaged the whole semester. We even had two field trips that were really fun and educational.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the organization of organisms as well as the biology of life.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you go to the lab practical reviews and never cram. There is a lot of material to learn.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Eldakar makes this course concise and easy to follow. He's passionate so you never get bored, but don't be fooled, it's tough stuff. Record his lectures, take thorough notes, and complete all his PowerPoint questions (they're the exams!). Arrive to every class, your attendance counts as quizzes. Ask questions and go over your exams with him during his office hours, it's important to know your stuff inside and out. He does not give extra credit and he does not believe in bumping up grades, you get what you deserve 100% of the time.

    Course highlights:

In this particular course we learned a lot about evolution which was the most interesting topic we covered. We learned about different classes of animals and bacteria. Plants was the largest and most difficult unit.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Professor Eldakar taught me how to study. He really encouraged group study and this is the most sure fire way to pass his class (and basically all others). I recorded each lecture and just sat and really focused on what he was saying during class. At home I would re-listen to the lecture and take thorough notes, this works best because you can pause and rewind and you wont miss anything important. Gather a group of friends, open up a google docs, and answer all the questions he provides at the end of his power points, they will be on the exam and some may be extended response questions. Do this and it will not be possible to get anything below a solid B.
