    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I never understood why this course was important. Yet, whether you plan on being a doctor, architecture, or anything within the field of science, this class is important. Literally, I now understand why my teacher tells me, "physic is the foundation of every science." I took Biology and Chemistry before physics, but I wish I would have taken physics first. I believe it would have made my understanding of the other two classes much easier.

    Course highlights:

To be honest, my forte does not lie within the science and mathematics. I always believed that I was not smart enough because of this. This year through my physics class, I realized that I am not incompetent, I was just needed to put more effort than others. My physics class has taught me that memorizing is worthless if you don't truly comprehend what is going on. Therefore, if you're in a similar situation, effort and truly understanding what you're learning is key.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Physics is the type of class in which you truly have to remember what you learned in previous units. Everything correlates to each other, and before you even think about using a formula, you truly have to make sense of the problem. In order to succeed in any problem given to you, do the following to things: draw a diagram and make a list of the given information (if possible). It might sound simplistic, but once you have both of these things in front of you, the solution might come to you more easily.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because Mr. Deutsch loves to teach this course and makes it very clear. Every week he brings a new experiment in to class for the students to try. In this class, my group work skills strengthened as did my responsibility. I am so glad to have learned key information that I can use in college.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this class were the labs and the trips we would make to go outside and try out the labs. For instance, one time we went to the park to analyze a real life pendulum. At the time, I had no idea that even a swing at a children's playground is a pendulum. It was very interesting to learn that when displaced, the swing will oscillate around its equilibrium point due to momentum in balance with the restoring force of gravity.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

My biggest advice would be to not let the name of a course intimidate you. In the past, I struggled believing in myself therefore I did not believe that I would excel in this class. I really applied myself by studying old New York State Regents exams and watching videos on YouTube. I would tell a future physics student to make use of all the resources around them. You can learn so much by exploring the internet as well as taking a trip to the park and trying to find ways that physics is present there. You can make the most out of this class and really enjoy the material.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because at first you might be failing the class but he will tell you that this is now, wait and see next semester and everything will be alright.

    Course highlights:

the highlights of this course would be the way he makes the class fun and the way he makes jokes involving the class and the topic as well, which was a way that I learned the most.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this class, you need be focused and always pendent of what he says and explains because it will be helpful in both, his tests and the regents.
