    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is so interesting especially if you love history. Even though others tell me this course is hard, I found it manageable and easy to learn.

    Course highlights:

In this semester, everything before the 1450s will be covered. My teacher went over each topic quickly but I still learned the details of mostly everything.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Personally, I would not recommend learning from textbook. Taking notes while the teacher speaks is extremely important because he/she usually covers things that are not in powerpoints. Also, organize your notes into outlines so it is easier to look back.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend AP World History because understanding historical patterns throughout the world is crucial to developing social awareness and being able to analyze events in modern day as well. When you are able to understand how and why a certain society came to have the aptitude for different characteristics, you will realize that you are in greater social structures that you may have thought previously. I would review notes frequently to be better prepared, and try to enjoy the class.

    Course highlights:

I was able to learn the history of world regions that I would normally not think about, and I realized how much impact ancient societies have on the characteristics of modern societies today as well.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I made study sheets on different regions when I had major tests, but I would review my notes for at least 10 minutes each day to truly absorb the information. I would also listen to the teacher when they make connections to other time periods/regions.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Unless you have a strong aptitude for history I wouldn’t recommend it. There is a ton of information and it is very diverse. There are many time periods and places.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part was learning about world war one. I learned in-depth about its beginnings and countries that were involved. I was also taught how that war influences today.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Buy prep books very early. I cannot stress this enough, do not procrastinate. Take practice exams and essays on a regular basis.
