This class was tough.
AP biology is a very challenging course due to the amount of information in the class. Not all students are prepared for a course that requires several hours of studying a week, and therefore should not take this course unless they have a very strong interest in the subject.
AP biology includes concepts from a wide range of topics. Genetics, ecology, and anatomy are just a few of the numerous topics explored in AP biology. The combination of several topics and concepts is really what makes AP biology an exciting and academically rigorous course that many students enjoy. By taking AP biology, I learned that memorization of certain concepts alone will not make a student excel, rather it is the memorization and ability to analyze topics that pertain to AP biology that will enable a student to succeed.

Advice for students:
AP biology is no place for students who do not have a strong interest in the field of science. In order to succeed in the course students must be willing to dedicate countless hours to studying and reviewing the topics learned in the class. If a student loves biology and is willing to put numerous hours into the course every week, then AP biology is the perfect course for that student.
