    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because technology is advancing and many people don't pursue careers in STEM fields like computer science, specifically women and people of color. I think that it is a good challenge and a new experience that helps you understand more about coding. It made me take the course again in 12th grade so I can be even more prepared for taking the AP Computer Science exam once again.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to program in the language Java. I learned about for loops, while loops, variables, outputs, etc. Everything was new to me and I didn't realize how much I wanted to become a game designer until taking this course for my 11th grade year. Some highlights are creating games and programs like a gravity & music lab, snackbar vending machine, piano, etc. Another was having our whole school become more involved and participate in the Hour of Code.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Expectedly, don't give up. Take the time out to study and find outlets to better yourself in the subject. It gets easier once you understand more so patience is key.
