Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Faciano is a phenomenal teacher. He assigned to the class to read the book, "Black Boy", by Richard Wright, and he has expanded my thoughts beyond reach. Before this course, I wish I knew one of the many struggles that a certain race has on society. Discrimination, prejudice and racism is being practiced everyday and we allow it to happen in certain situations. In this time and decade, we have the ability to speak up and teach others that we need to accept each other as human beings rather than our national origin.

    Course highlights:

The memoir teaches readers the life of a boy, Richard, that learned on his own how to adjust to world where he wasn't accepted because of white supremacy. It has always been a controversial topic and an issue in the lives of African-Americans. This course helped me to understand and learn the difficulties we face in humanity because of dominant cultural expectations. It gave me an in depth outlook on life because many of us fail to contribute to better the world filled with happiness and the concept of a family.
