    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because I believe it was taught extremely well. Although it does carry a heavy workload, it has taught me a lot and it's one of the first courses I feel I've been able to actually incorporate back into the "real world".

    Course highlights:

Highlights of this course were learning about developing countries and why some democracies fail while others thrive. Also, being in a comfortable learning environment and having an instructor who felt passionate about what he taught really helped me understand the course better. I learned about American Political Systems and about the negative effects that ethnic cleavages can have on a nation.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the readings when they are assigned, do not procrastinate! Pay attention to him as he lectures. He explains everything thoroughly and helps you understand difficult political theories and terms effectively. When it is time to write essays try to follow the schedule that he gives you so that he may revise your work prior to turning it in.
