    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was a great class. When I get older, I want to major in biochemistry and I feel as if this class has helped me better prepare for it. The basic high school biology class teaches you absolutely nothing, so this class is a good step up from that to prepare you for what an actual college class may be.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course included making great friends with the amount of group projects that we had to do, learning about things you didn't think were so complex and how well prepared you are for the AP exam.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you study hard. The first test may be super easy, but make sure you study for at least a full week before any test. Obviously, you must stay on top of your work. One missing study guide becomes two that you have to do, which becomes a lot of work. Also, review the material at home as much as you can. Not everything can be covered in class, so find exactly what you're having trouble in and ask questions.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

AP biology is a course I 100% recommend. This course is the reason I have decided to pursue a medical career. In it, you will learn all about the human anatomy and about life in general. You will begin to realize how amazing our bodies are and how the systems work to keep us strong, healthy, and alive. It is truly fascinating.

    Course highlights:

Out of all the topics taught in this class, the highlights of the course were the labs, pecifically, the pig dissection lab. During this three day long lab, I was ordered to disect a fetus pig and identify each organ. Through this lab, I got to visually learn about the anatomy of a pig, and in part, the anatomy of a human because pigs are most similar, in regards to organs, to humans.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If you are interested in the course, you need to really put in the work it includes. Because it is an AP class, you will have lots of assignments and papers. You will really need to pay attention in class and study frequently to get a good grade in the class and hopefully a 5 on the AP exam

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it was what made me realize that my passion is for medicine and anatomy. I have learned a lot about biology via this course. Being able to understand how all the body systems work together and why things in your body and environment happen is such an amazing and fascinating thing to me.

    Course highlights:

I gained appreciation for the body systems such as the immune system.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

You have to constantly review your notes and pay attention in class.
