    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course is difficult, yet, those who take it will find chemistry even more enjoyable. Dr. Chan makes everyone work hard because he knows that we all can do well and wants us to take what we learn and maybe apply it to our future jobs, possibly (for Chem-related jobs).

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were all the laboratory experiments and demos that were conducted becasue I obtianed a better understanding of the topics and the crazy Super Final that everyone took because it was very difficult yet I found it somehow fun. Another highlight of the year was when we were introduced to integrals in order to derive the rate laws of reactions. Every was confused but it was really nice to learn.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

In order to pass this class, you have to put a lot of free time in in order to get a very good understanding of the topics as well as like all courses DO THE HOMEWORK. If you do not do the homework, then you'll be lost and won't know how to do the harder problems that may pop up. Also, make sure to ask any questions you may have so that you have a clear picture of what is going on. If you understand the concepts, then you'll do well in the course. NOTE: CHECK YOUR MATHEMATICAL CALCULATIONS!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course to anyone who enjoys Chemistry as much as I do and for those who want to be completely challenged. It is a great experience. Even though the tests were extremely difficult, as long as you try in the course and show that you have understanding of what is going on, then the teacher will help you.

    Course highlights:

My year of AP Chemistry was quite interesting. There were so many demonstrations during the school years and that caught everyone's interests. Plus the Paper Chromotagraphy lab was the lab that stuck in my mind the most because we used the food coloring in candy to show the polorizability of certain candy.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The only advice that I have to offer is to pay attention in class, make sure to do all the homework, and ask questions if you are confused or lost.
