Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because not only did it improve my vocabulary skills, it also improved my writing skills. When we started reading books I started to enjoy them because they were interesting and had connections to my own life in a way.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the class discussions and vocabulary words. In the class my teacher had a way to get everyone involved, and that helped me participate more. Whether it was a topic regarding the book we were reading, articles we read in class, or any questions we had. I can definitely say my vocabulary expanded while being in this class because most of the words I did use in my writing or I needed to know for a test. My teacher wasn't an easy grader, but that helped me because every time she wrote down corrections I learned from that.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give you if you're considering this course is to actually put time and effort into reading the books assigned to you. If you take the time to read these books you will fully understand the text and do well on the tests. The vocabulary words you learn in this class might be hard to memorize, but actually knowing these words and utilizing them in your writing will benefit you. The writing part of this course is important because you will need to know how to write a synthesis, rhetorical, and argumentative essay. Don't worry, you will get enough practice throughout the year to prepare you for this test.
