    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course is great for those who enjoy a different aspect of the science world. It is less memorization and formulas and more experiences and hands-on. I like how my teacher thoroughly explains the content and is open to answering any questions. Overall, this course is suitable for those who want something different than your typical science course.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were learning how to analyze fingerprints and learning about the different types of hair. Every chapter has a unique subject and it is hard to become bored. This class has shown me that there is so much that goes into forensic examination. It made me think of the science curriculum in a whole new way.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students that are considering taking this course to think about how it is not all memorization and tests. It is a completely different setup than a chemistry or biology class. It is all labs, tests, and discussions, with a few tests squeezed in. If you pay attention in class and do the assigned work, you will do just fine.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

As the health of our outdoor world is critically falling each year, it is important to have an understanding of not only why, but how to support the environment.

    Course highlights:

This course covers a wide range of topics, such as weather, ecology, fossil fuels, renewable energy sources, and much more. Like stated above, it stresses not only the need to conserve the environment, but also HOW to do so.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to read the entire chapter in the weeks before your test, not to try to cram all the information into your head the night before. If your teacher has you complete reading guides, try to do so in advance as well, because it will help with your overall understanding in class.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

There is so much going on in our environment that many students do not know about. AP Environmental Science teachers students about what needs to be fixed in our world.

    Course highlights:

I really watched watching Lord of the Rings because Tolkien was trying to express the earth's deterioration in synch with the growth of human population. He put so many different symbols in the books and movies and we finally got to see it.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

The class has gotten harder since I took it, you will have to put more effort into it. A different teacher is teaching it now so he has different techniques. However, this class is super rewarding. Study for tests!
