Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because the professor is extremely involved in the class and is always available when needed. The course also improves writing skills, allowing an average high school student writer to become more formal and familiar with college writing and compositions.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the major improvements made throughout the year. At the beginning of the year I wrote like a high schooler, while more towards the end of the year, the immense progression made was phenomenal. I learned that procrastination in writing a twenty page paper is not very smart, and can become very stressful when the paper is due in only a few days. I learned how to manage time efficiently.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to manage their time efficiently and to focus on the actual thesis and essay content rather than the overall spelling and grammar. The content and how it was portrayed was the most important rather than how the author wrote certain words and grammar errors.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend the course. Mrs. Stump is an excellent teacher that truly cares and helps her students excel at writing, plus, it got all of the writing classes out of the way for college.

    Course highlights:

I learned mainly about structure of essays. Before the class I knew very little about thesis statements and absolutely nothing about transitions, thanks to the class, my essays now flow making them sound much more proper.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

There is a lot of writing, but take the course. It may not be the most enjoyable course but you definitely learn a lot in the class that will help in the long run.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is a college class you can take as a highschool student. I completed the class in highschool and I won't have to take any writing courses in college. It helped to prepare me to further my education and taught me how to write properly.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to expand my writing and not repeat myself. I learned many grammar skills and how to properly write papers.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

When taking a writing course don't wait till the last minute to start your assignments because the deadlines will come up fast.
