Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Kleinman is an incredible teacher. She is genuinely interested in what she teaches and what her students have to say about the material. She's really sweet and understanding too.

    Course highlights:

Highlights would include any of the hands-on assignments. Although it's brutally cold during the winter, the tree check project is very interesting. I think the best thing I did with Kleinman wasn't even required. It was to join her in picking up trash and recyclables along waters. Very fulfilling!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you go over the homework assignment questions. Otherwise, you'll do terribly on the exams. Although textbooks aren't super fun to read, it's worth it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course combines everyday classroom learning with hands-on activities that give you a feel for the real world applications of your knowledge. For every day of powerpoint, there is a day of identifying invertebrates in a local stream, or learning about plants in the school garden.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed the time spent doing group activities both in and out of the classroom. There were a number of activities in which the work was divided very personally in a way in which everyone was learning something slightly different and then learning from each other. This is how i learnt best.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Doing the homework is critical. While the outside time is informative, half of the information will come from the power points.
