Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Sign language has opened me up to so many new things I never would have imagined. originally I only took ASL because it was different and I thought I was cool doing so. I soon realized that I was actually good at it, and I actually enjoyed doing. Being the introvert I am I found that it was easier if I didn't need to say anything verbally. Taking this course opened me to a whole new culture, but one that i could live in right here in my own town.
I think that fact that you are required to go out and communicate with an actual Deaf person made the course engaging and it made you actually have to put yourself out there and experience it in a first person point of view.

Advice for students:
Don't be the person who thinks that not paying attention is funny, because while the class may just be a language it will hurt you in the long run. Also be ready to make a fool of yourself because facial expression is a very important role in the language altering what one word means from another.
