    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's a great class to learn about literary analysis and write an effective essay using patterns of development and rhetorical devices

    Course highlights:

I loved reading and discussing the short stories we read for homework because they were all very interesting. Even the non-fiction ones!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always do the readings assigned for homework. Also, don't be afraid to ask the teacher for extra help! I would always send my professor my essay before it was due so she could tell me what I needed to fix to earn a higher grade.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend the class because although Prof. Heintz is a tough grader, I felt her essays and assignments truly helped me to improve my writing. My only difficulty with this professor was that she is not very good about grading assignments in a timely manner, answering emails in a timely manner, and she can be quite rude at times.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to do a proper argumentative research paper with a concession paragraph, and how to analyze my sources for validity, bias, and/or if it is academia worthy.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Use the smartthinking tutors' recommendations and learn from your mistakes that Prof. Heintz points out, as they will help you on future assignments with her to get a better grade, along with improving your writing.
