    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Advanced Journalism allows students to participate a small business enterprise while still in high school. The course taught sales techniques, interview techniques and AP style guidelines. Students also mastered the use of professional cameras, adobe InDesign and Photoshop.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of Journalism was food Fridays! Every Friday, a staff member would bring in a treat for the rest of the staff! Another perk of journalism is the comradery between the staff as everyone is working towards a final goal. Its one big group project.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep your Stylebook handy! It will help when writing copy. Also, don't be afraid to talk to the editors and ask for help, everyone has the same goal so getting help will only make your spread better!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would especially if you want to take higher journalism classes.

    Course highlights:

There was many times to speak in front of the class, which helped my talking skills develop.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It is factual writing, no opinions which I should have understood, but somehow didn't realize going in.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it teaches real life skills inherently important to better communication, journalistic writing, photography and design skills.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course is every month near the end when our publication releases. It is such a learning experience to see your hard work over the month become reality. It is tough to hear criticisms, but in the end it aides you in being a better writer and designer.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is amazing, but it is not without effort. You must keep time management skills, and not let deadlines jump away from you.
