Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

A lot of people around me in my class take this course for granted but it is a very beneficial course for college, or any future endeavors. It is always fun learning about the way cells, enzymes, etc work in your body.

    Course highlights:

I love all the labs we have done in this class. I especially liked the gram staining lab we just did as a class, to learn about how to identify types of bacteria and how to prescribe antibiotics. I absolutely loved making the 3D model of the flagella of an animal cell. It was a blast and I love all the hands on group activities we do as a class. We do a great job of going over material for the test and reviewing important concepts.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Always complete all formative and summative projects and tests or quizzes, on time. Also do not ever hesitate to ask questions to the teacher when you have them. Give everything your best effort so you will learn the most and get the best out of this class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course because it allowed me to discover my passion for microbiology through various laboratory activities and hands-on experiments.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were doing the lab unknowns where we had to perform necessary biochemical tests independently and then determine what the specific bacteria was. This was the event that helped me discover my talents and passions for the microbiology field.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Always prepare for exams and practical exams in the lab, at least 2-3 weeks prior. You learn a lot of information at once since it is an honors class, so take detailed notes and come to class ready to learn!
