    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is the best AP class I have taken. It truly is preparing me for college. However, Mr. Ahern is not one of those teachers who run the class as if we are in college, because that is just not the case. Instead, he holds high expectations for us without forcing us to grow up too fast. This course is one that has taught me the most about history. Without my AP World History class, I would not be able to pass the AP exam at the end of the year.

    Course highlights:

From this course, I have gained important researching skills. My writing skills have greatly improved since the beginning of the year because of all the essays we have thoroughly examined and worked through.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't complain about the course load. It is an Advanced Placement class and you knew that walking in. Instead, go in with an open mind about the work and allow yourself to learn.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course as it forced me to find my own study habits, challenge myself in ways I had not been before, learn to write very effective essays and devote lots of time to achieve a satisfying grade. It allowed me to be less ignorant about not only the United States' history but the world's as well, leaving me more educated as the year went by.

    Course highlights:

I left this course with a higher understanding of the world we live in, and left with very valuable and useful skills as well.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Students will need to know that this course will take time out of your schedule, whether that be the constant essays, the homework assignments or the daily readings. Although this course takes time and patience, it is a course that you will not regret taking as the things you take away from the course are much more valuable than the time you spent studying.
