    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this class for students who want to prepare themselves for the college level workload. I've never enjoyed history, but Mr. Wilson made this class a fun experience. Although the class was challenging, I am really glad that I took the course.

    Course highlights:

Every AP student in this course had to give a speech about a notable person during the progressive era. I was Upton Sinclair, discussing the issues of the meat-packing industry. It was great learning about historical figures who played a huge role in modernizing America.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Time management is important. Just like other classes, you won't get a good grade if you wait until the deadline. By getting it done before the due date, you won't have to worry about it and can focus on other assignments.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I thoroughly enjoyed this rigorous AP class because it was challenging! It stretched me beyond what I believed my limits were, and it gave me knowledge of our American history that I could not have received in any other class.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was the speeches. I had to write my own speech and recite it in front of the class. It taught me to be confident - to understand that every other student in that room would eventually have to deliver their own speech. We all chose that course to push ourselves to our academic limits, which is what happened during the speeches.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Never be afraid to ask questions, whether they seem irrelevant or not. This is a class to learn, to understand, to expand knowledge. If a question in your head arises, do not be scared to ask it because the chances are that someone else thought the exact same question.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

You get to learn about your country's history.

    Course highlights:

I learned about how the American nation came to be, and the many battles that were fought to obtain freedom.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Studying a lot will be the best option.
