    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was extremely beneficial in a multitude of different ways. It provides you with the tools you will need in college writing classes. For me, the best part of the class was the books we read. They were all so amazing and had a lasting impact one me.

    Course highlights:

In this course I learned a few good tips and tricks for writing. My favorite rule that was taught was NTSSTSW or 'no two sentences start the same way'. This helped me while writing papers because it is one thing I had greatly over looked for years.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to keep up on the work. The homework will really help your grade if you start slipping so you have to keep up on it. This is not a class where you can fake it but Mrs. Gibson is there to help so stay after with her and ask for the help.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Gibson is a great teacher and has taught me how to write effectively. I know that I will be prepared for college and she has also taught me to be more culturally literate. I know much more than I did before taking her classes over the past couple of years.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write in a way that will be helpful to me for college. I also enjoyed most of the novels that we read in the class because they each had different lessons that were worth the time and effort put into the books and the essays we wrote about them.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to work hard and spend time digging deep in your mind for new ways to look at life. Look at the subjects from different perspectives and don't be afraid to have crazy ideas, because most of the time, they're not actually so crazy.
