Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course not only taught me everything I needed to know about grammar and rhetoric, but also raised my ACT score on the English portion by seven points. Mrs. James is the best teacher I have ever had and always went above and beyond for my class and I.

    Course highlights:

Entering this class I did not even know what the term rhetoric meant. By the end of the class I was naming off rhetorical devices and even using them naturally. Along with thoroughly studying rhetorical devices, I left the class with a much higher vocabulary and that has helped me and reflected on multiple aspects of my life.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To any student considering this course: take it. There will be absolutely no regrets in the end. If the student is looking to broaden their understanding of grammar and rhetoric while raising their ACT score, they are definitely considering the right course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is nice to explain things of what could have been then see how far you have come from it.

    Course highlights:

Being able to speak my mind is a very big part of who I am, and I got to do that in this course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Know what you are saying before writing, and believe in yourself.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a difficult course; however, it succeeds at preparing you for courses in college, which you will likely be taking once you complete this class.

    Course highlights:

Although difficult, it is quite comprehensive in its coverage of English. Expect to learn the guidelines for many assignments that you will submit in college, as this course will prepare you for that.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Above all else, be organised and be respectful. These two traits will greatly assist you in completing this course satisfactorily. It is common to see students put off their work, and then blame the instructor for their grade in the class. Keep on top of your work, and remember that you are responsible for your grade.
