    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. James is a wonderful teacher. She doesn't just read from the English textbook, she teaches in ways that accommodate for all the students. It isn't a "blowoff" class. You need to be prepared to work and be willing to learn.

    Course highlights:

I learned so many things in this course. One of the major subjects that we worked on was correctly citing work used in research by MLA format. This will be crucial in college work. Another huge topic we discussed and practiced was timed writings. Being able to write and construct a well written essay in a given amount of time was one of my weaknesses, but by the end of the course I feel like I greatly improved on this.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to learn and listen. Do not skip class during this hour because you will regret it later on. Study whenever you can for every test.
