Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course! You learn new things, try new experiments, and build new relationships. And don't worry about being the only clueless person in the class because trust me, you are NOT going to be the only one.

    Course highlights:

The highlights in this class is definitely the experiments and the dorky periodic elements jokes. You get to do things that you never get to do. The experiments may be small but the memories you get from them are everlasting. For the first time in my life, I got to see heated elements. Some elements' colors were bright and some were dull. It was amazing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The number one thing that you absolutely have to do for this class is study, study, study. Just going to class and doing your homework will help some but you have to put in the extra hours of studying and just re-reading over your notes to be prepared for the next day's quiz, test, or independent work. Another thing is to be social. In this class, you will have group experiments with people other than your friends. I know for a fact that I don't like being in awkward situations and being paired with someone you don't know is the most awkward situation. Ever. But I quickly learned to push that aside and really try to work with my partner to get the job done. Doing this not only toned my interpersonal (people) skills but it also helped me get to know a lot of the cool people in that class. If you ever have a problem, even if no else has a question, ask away because I bet there is someone else who is a bit too nervous about asking.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The AP Chemistry course that I have been in all year if you are willing to do hard work and long hours of finding the solutions, then I would most definitely recommend this class to you. Not everyone can have the amazing teacher that I have right now but if you like science and you are good at math, then most likely you will enjoy an advanced placement Chemistry course.

    Course highlights:

Throughout this course I struggled with remembering some of the equation and the laws that come with the basics, but once you are focused on achieving that A+ in the class you will start to comprehend the ideals that come with the gas laws, kenetic energy, thermodynamic heating and cooling, electrnegativity and atomic radius. You can learn so much from the things you see around you, and for me this course really opened my eyes to how unprepared I was if this was going to be my major in college.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are going into this course without any prior knowledge of the information the teacher will tell you, I would go online and research some major topics that way you are not too far behind when class starts. An easy way to study is to either buy an AP Chemistry test prep Princeton book and follow along with the big ideas or just reread over every class notes so the information sticks in your mind longer.
