Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because Mr. Cox is a great teacher, and really cares about his students. He makes the information easier to understand, and has great class discussions. His tests and quizzes can be difficult, but if one is prepared and does the readings you will do great.

    Course highlights:

I believe that the class discussions are what makes this class. I learned a lot more behind how our government specifically works, beyond what most basic websites will go into detail on. Comparing how our government was when it first started, to how it has changed into what it is today was also something I have learned in this class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Over the summer before you start the class, do your best to stay active in current news. Mr. Cox does a good job of using NPR to keep his students in the know, but having a little background knowledge before class so you can contribute to discussion is great. Also, keep yourself organized, make a decent study schedule, and remember to do the readings!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a very challenging course, but it's very rewarding as well. If you have the chance and the ability to focus and push yourself, I would definitely take this course.

    Course highlights:

I learned to push myself and and motivate myself, and to not rely on others to motivate me to get my work done.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you keep up to date on the syllabus and do all the work and reading that is necessary outside of class. Be well versed in the topics of discussion.
