    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was a great way to study American literature, and get experience with writing. The teacher of the class was also inspiring. The books we read were classics, and they provided a different view point of the world.

    Course highlights:

The best part of the course was getting to read American classics. We read older books such as The Scarlet Letter, and we ended with a more modern American masterpiece The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien. We got to see how American authors' writing evolved over time.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't procrastinate. Make sure to finish all the reading that is assigned on time. Don't just try to use Spark Notes, either. Keep up on assignments, and we you're given large projects, don't leave them until the last minute. If you show up to class and put in effort, you should do fine.
