Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it was challenging, but rewarding.

    Course highlights:

Creating a research paper on a topic of our choice. It was very interesting and fun to piece together. I learned time management, how to structure my writing better, and how to gather information.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Set a lot of time aside to complete this work; don't rush through any of it. Make sure each assignment was done to the best of your ability.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I loved the pieces of literature assigned to read in this course. In addition, this course is heavily discussion-based, and Ms. Duffy is invested in every piece of insight and analysis you have to share!

    Course highlights:

I learned to write a strong thesis statement. I also learned how to identify literary elements in a piece of literature, and how to then write about these literary elements and analyze them in an essay. I learned how to formulate my own, well thought out opinions, and speak up about them in class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take extensive notes and read all of the material! The more time and effort you spend making intelligent connections and notes about pieces of text, the better you will do in the class. In addition, formulate your own opinions about the characters and plot and literary elements, and be prepared to speak up about them in class.
