    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I had Algebra 2 trig, so it was rather difficult. Math isn't my strong suit, but it was definitely helpful for laying a foundation for other math classes.

    Course highlights:

I honestly can't remember any specifics of what we learned. I do know that it's background helped in precalc.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class and do all the homework even though there's a lot.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

While in the class, it seems like useless information. After you move on to the Algebra II course or even Geometry, you find it important to know how to use the information. Eventually, one will realize that Algebra will apply to their everyday lives.

    Course highlights:

By taking Algebra, I have learned how to identify the behavior of graphs and figure out basic math problems much quicker than by using elementary level math.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely get into Algebra. It is not a difficult course and you will find that it will benefit you in the future, especially if you are considering going into any sort of corporate or constructive businesses.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Hoslar was the most patient and caring math teacher I had in the four years I spent at Strongsville High School. She will not only work with you until you have the subject you're working on completely down, she will not only praise you privately, she will also inform your parents when you do well. She makes understanding math easy, even for people who are awful at math like I was! She's very thorough and works hard to ensure you are in complete understanding of what is being taught to you.

    Course highlights:

Through the course Mrs. Hoslar went over pre, and regular algebra, she made formulas, easy to understand and made sure to get students prepared for their time in geometry the next year.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Know that you will have to study. Do your homework, and do your study guides. Even if it's very tedious and long work, it's worth doing in the long run. Teachers in any course not just this one are more inclined to help a struggling student if they are attempting to do the work they're assigned.
