    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's a good challenge for your average Mathematics hotshot. College Calculus is a course that everyone and their mother somehow ends up taking. This brain-stretching class is a good way to prepare for even more brain-stretching that will ensue in college.

    Course highlights:

The teacher for this course organized nearly all of the topics in AP Calculus BC into 94 assignments called "Big Ideas". Each assignment was its own grade, so completing the "Big Idea" assignments is very beneficial. When it's time for the AP Exam, having all 94 completed "Big Ideas" assignments in one folder proved to be an effective study guide. Because of the "Big Idea" assignments, I was able to problem-solve in the class better, especially when analyzing questions in tests.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

While not every assignment in this course will be graded, attempting every assignment given is a good idea. Whenever there's a question that proves to be difficult, put a star next to it and make sure to talk with the teacher about it the next day. Speaking of assignments, keeping a 3 inch binder organized by units or topics will be something to thank yourself for whenever it's time for a test. I started doing that when I got tired of cleaning my backpack out every week.
