    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the teacher is so great. I am typically more of a science and math person, however this course was very fun and Mr. Mather never failed to make it interesting. It is a challenging course that helps prepare you for college, while still being fun and very interesting.

    Course highlights:

I learned about a variety of topics in AP United States History, however my favorite unit was the Civil War. I have always found the Civil War interesting and I loved being able to go more in depth and discover more causes of the Civil War other than the ones we had always been told.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this class, the reading is very important and helpful. You should stay very organized and keep up with your work so you do not get stuck doing all of it in one night. This class gives you a lot of freedom, so don't abuse that privilege. Allow yourself to be interested and engage yourself in the class to succeed.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

A few highlights of this course would be the different activities that were created to go along with major time periods. They were very interactive and required critical thinking and application of the knowledge that the students had gained through the lesson it revolved around.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Students should definitely read the provided textbook and use the quick quizzes after each lesson to study for tests. Also, practicing the essay prompts is very helpful.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to underclassmen because of its content and its practicality in the real world. APUSH is a great class to take when you are serious about learning the ways our nation got to be how it is today.

    Course highlights:

From this class I gained the knowledge to analyse the series of events that have created our nation. I learned how to write an essay explaining a timeline of events as well as comparing and recognizing turning points in american history.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read. Do your readings and the work to go with it. You will always be ahead of the game when you do this.
