Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course! This course helped me to get over my fear of public speaking and showed me how to put a proper speech together.

    Course highlights:

I love this course! I got to present speeches to my classmates on topics that I actually cared about. My roommate and I were able to do a speech on why you should be friends with us! It was so much fun! I learned some techniques to overcome fear of public speaking, to write a speech, and to engage an audience with props and A/V aids.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Pick topics that you really care about to do your speeches on. Picking topics that you care about will help with public speaking anxiety and your attitude towards the speech. Also, don't wait til the last minute. Although it is possible to put a speech together the night before you will feel so much better if you are prepared and rehearsed.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend taking fundamentals of speech with Professor Harris. He makes class fun and doesn't load too much work on his students.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the 1 minute speeches we had to give at random whenever Professor Harris wanted to and we had free time. It helped me become more secure in my speaking, as well as the 5 speeches we had to make and perform throughout the course. He made the whole class laugh and taught me that speeches can be fun depending on the topic and the work that I put into it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take this course with Professor Harris. He makes a not so fun class very fun and enjoyable.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it can help with people who may have trouble with public speaking and it can help you learn different techniques and tricks to it as well.

    Course highlights:

Somethings I gained through this course is learning how to slow my speaking down when I'm nervous. Deep breathing before speaking, prayer helps as well if your religious. Also going over the speech with yourself as cliche that sounds or even going over it with friends and family to get feed back that you would have not noticed yourself.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you would like to take this course, stay on top of the homework if your professor is anything like mine. And take notes the the assigned readings.
