Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

In life there is always going to be at least one time where you have to stand up and speak in front of a group of people. Wether it be at a wedding, special event, or even a business meeting, whatever it might be you are guaranteed that once in your life you'll have to say a few words. This is a great class to learn how to do it.

    Course highlights:

I've learned how to grasp my audiences attention very well in this course. If I can't get the people I'm talking to to actually listen and focus in to what I'm saying then everything I have to say will be in vain. This course truly showed me how to properly call for their attention and say what I have to say without losing their attention.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that when you prepare your speeches to at least rehearse it minimally 6 times. The more prepared you feel the better your audience is going to understand.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because it prepares you to be a good speaker. It will give you the confidence to speak in front of others.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the speech of Lincoln. He took the time to practice for his speech. He was prepared for it. I am going to be a teacher someday so this course has taught me different methods of speaking in front of an audience. So that will prepare me someday.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You will get to chose your topic for your speeches so pick a subject you're familiar with. Practice your speech everyday so you are prepared. Have somebody critique you on your speech.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I was terrified to take this class, beyond terrified. I do not like public speaking, and I have been dreading this course since I started college. Professor Price pushed us to do our best, step out of our comfort zones, and taught us how to give a really great speech.

    Course highlights:

I definitely learned how to communicate better publicly. It has become a lot easier for me to get up in front of people and talk now that I have this class under my belt.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It isn't as scary as you think it will be. You CAN do it!
