    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I think any science class is easily applicable to real life and can be very useful

    Course highlights:

Learning the mechanisms for intercellular singalong and signal transduction was what I found most interesting

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you don't get behind on reading and make sure you thoroughly understand the previous chapters because later ones branch off it

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class is interesting, but the tests are extremely difficult and sometimes contain extraneous information.

    Course highlights:

The labs are fantastic! They teach you so much more than that of a textbook and create a very hands on learning environment.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

READ THE TEXTBOOK! As boring as it can be sometimes, it is crucial to read the textbook to fully understand the concepts.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I enjoy the labs involved in each unit, especially ecology. It helped me to understand more about what a biology major in college would involve.

    Course highlights:

Taking this course, I learned more about the details that regular biology classes never covered, for example, the molecular structures and chemical reactions that take place within cells in order for processes to work. This class also allowed me to really get a good hands-on experience with plenty of labs, including dissections, classifications, experiments, and observations under microscopes.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You definitely need good time management skills to complete projects and lab reports on time. Study the math and chemistry units because many of the other units rely on basic math or chemistry knowledge.
