    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is a very challenging course, but it definitely increases your knowledge on US history. The teacher is very interactive and will help you with anything you're struggling with. However, you MUST study for the quizzes and tests because they are very difficult.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course would be the great in class scored discussions. In the scored discussions, students were able to debate back and forth about issues in history or different historian's viewpoints on certain events.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class, you need to read the textbook and make sure you do the practice quizzes on the textbook website. A lot of the questions on the quiz are the exact same ones as on the website, so being exposed to them beforehand will help.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

AP US History is a high level, challenging course that should not be taken lightly. Despite this, it is one of the most engaging courses offered at Green Hope. Mr. Richardson is a fun teacher that students will be able to connect to. Great variety in coursework and a straightforward and effective teaching style. Definitely one of my favorite classes at Green Hope.

    Course highlights:

Emphasis on the early political system in the United States, and how it evolved throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. Comparisons drawn between economic, governmental, and social tendencies between distinct periods in US history.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take this course seriously. This is not a course you will be able to cut corners on. If you pay attention and study like you should, however, you will enjoy the course greatly.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Apush at GH is very challenging and you must read the textbook every night. This class will take a lot of work and a lot of effort. If you would like an a in this class you will have to work hard but the majority of the kids get a b or below.

    Course highlights:

The fun things in this class would be class discussions. These were very easy but you couldn't wait until the last minute to finish. I was able to learn about many different time periods of the United States.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advice students to not take this class if history is not their strongest subject. For this class a student must be very dedicated to study every night. This class may not be the strongest choice for some students.
