    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course, especially to students who are comfortable with AP courses. This course is a good option to get an AP credit for an earth science class instead of just taking Earth Science or Earth Science Honors. An earth science class is required to graduate, and this class counts, so this is a good way to bump up a GPA.

    Course highlights:

I thought I would learn more about the earth and its systems, but a lot of the course was focused on anthropogenic (human-caused) pollution, although we did learn some earth systems information.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The study guides are lengthy, so I suggest grouping up with 3 or 4 other people that are trustworthy and thorough and splitting the work. Use time in class wisely, as a lot of times, large amounts of work are assigned. Don't wait until the night before for study guides or else you will be pulling an all-nighter - trust me on this one!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would strongly recommend this course because it is a wonderful way to get used to the rigors of a college science course while having a cushion from a multitude of grades instead of the 2-4 grades found in a college course. The teacher uses a variety of styles, though she has a strong focus on independent work and lecturing.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course so far have included doing a glo-bacteria lab, learning about all of the diseases discussed during the genetics section, and doing a photosynthesis lab to learn what factors can affect rates of photosynthesis.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell any students looking to take this course that it is entirely doable with regard to difficulty, you just must keep up with your work and study the materials provided.
